TPO & OPAL Deliver Level 3 City & Guilds Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

10th October 2021, TPO, Muscat, Oman:  Delegates from a number of training institutes within Oman, including the Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL), attended a 7-day intensive training course arranged by OPAL and facilitated by Takatuf Petrofac Oman (TPO). This is the first initiative of its kind to be held in the Sultanate.

The City & Guilds NVQ 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement allows those that have successfully completed the training, and the post-course assignments, to become fully qualified competency assessors in their particular specialisations within the Sultanate of Oman as well as internationally.

Delegates were warmly welcomed to TPO by Mrs Shifa Al Hinai, Human Capital Development Specialist at OPAL and Mr Andy Morris, the General Manager of TPO.

After a brief introduction to TPO, and a review of the latest COVID guidelines, the delegates were informed of the importance of completing the course and assignments on time and to a standard that would reflect the quality and excellence associated with a City and Guilds qualification.

Mr Andy Morris, General Manager, TPO, congratulated the delegates on making this commitment to further their training and excel in their area of expertise.  “Achieving success at this level takes a high level of commitment to the course and also to the post-course evidence submission.  The successful delegates will have to meet the high standards of the internationally recognised awarding organisation ‘City & Guilds.’ We are proud to be able to deliver this intensive training course and wish all of the delegates the very best of luck as we are fully committed to supporting workplace assessments in Oman.”
