TPO Wins Prestigious OPES Award
Monday, 21st March: The Oman Petroleum and Energy Show (OPES) was successfully inaugurated by H H Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) Muscat.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, and hosted by Petroleum Development Oman, (PDO) Takatuf Petrofac Oman (TPO) was delighted to be recognised for its success in Human Capital Development.
Mr Andy Morris, General Manager at TPO, received the award from H H Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad bin Tarik al Said, in recognition of their success. Mr Morris said that, “I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of TPO and thank all who recognised our great efforts during these challenging times.”
This prestigious award was presented in the presence of Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Energy and Minerals and H E Salim al Aufi, Under-Secretary - Ministry of Energy and Minerals.
Commenting on OPES, H E Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Under-Secretary - Ministry of Energy and Minerals commented that, “The theme of this year’s conference reflects the major developments happening not only in the Sultanate, but in the wider region.”
The focus of the award ceremony was to highlight industrial applications, technology and project implementations and on bridging the concept – practice gaps. It was a great honour for TPO to be recognised for achieving excellence during the 3-day OPES conference which attracted a large turnout of visitors from both inside and outside of the Sultanate.
